Vert-X MH-S
Magnetic technology offers crucial advantages over optical measuring methods.
In the past, incremental sensors – for example, to regulate the speed of motors – generally used optical measuring systems. However, these are sensitive to dirt, condensation, vibration and shock (the disks can even shatter on impact).
They also offer limited resolution and precision where space is tight and are subject to irreversible aging. The LEDS and photodetectors become weaker over time and more power has to be used to compensate, leading to an increase in noise levels.
With Contelec’s Vert-X MH-S technology, concerns such as these are a thing of the past.
Resistant and durable sensors
Thanks to the magnetic measuring method, the Vert-X MH-S series sensors achieve an unrivaled lifespan. Unlike products with optical systems, these incremental encoders do not require additional sealing of the housing: they are not sensitive to contaminants such as dust or water. These sensors are also resistant to vibration and shock – a crucial quality for heavy-duty applications.
High resolution, flexible design
Advantages of the Vert-X MH-S sensors include a high resolution, even in minimal installation spaces, and a flexible magnetic actuator design. Depending on the configuration of the magnetic actuator, high installation tolerance in the xyz direction can be achieved. Custom variants can also be implemented.
