Programmable rotary encoders
Maximum flexibility
The ease with which Vert-X rotary sensors with MH-C2 technology can be programmed opens up all-new possibilities and offers maximum flexibility.
Parameters that can be programmed to suit customer requirements include output characteristics, angle range, zero point, switching points and direction of rotation.
Freely programmable rotary sensors
Simple configuration with setting features
Many of the absolute magnetic rotary encoders in the Vert-X MH-C2 product family are easy to program to suit customer-specific requirements. Parameters such as output characteristics, angle range, index points (e.g. zero point) and direction of rotation can be adapted to the application requirements.
Contelec also offers rotary encoders that can be configured on site once installed. The “setting features” solution makes it extremely easy to install rotary encoders. For simple parameterization, the rotary encoders with setting features include two additional digital inputs. The direction of rotation (CW, CCW), index points (zero point or midpoint) and start/end point can be set as often as required. This makes installation and adjustment substantially easier without the need for additional set-up aids.
No more mechanical adjustment required
Rotary encoders with integral setting features eliminate the need for mechanical adjustment of the angle sensors, enabling high-precision angle measurements in systems where mechanical adjustment is impossible. They also maximize the measurement accuracy in applications with wide installation tolerances.
The new Contelec rotary encoders allow easy compensation for mechanical inaccuracies on the system being measured as well as compensation for mechanical wear by “readjustment” in the field.
Another key selling point is the reduction of the required number of encoder variants, simplifying storage and reducing costs.
